Martial arts have many benefits, the most obvious of which are self-discipline that aids in ones, physical, emotional, social, and mental health.

Historical martial arts have a growing interest in the city of Richmond, but not the infrastructure to effectively facilitate it. Currently many of the groups meet in parks, or tennis courts, or rent spaces not designed for these kind of studies. We intend to be a space to aid the study of these martial practices so meetings aren’t inhibited by weather as well as be a shared space for resources to be shared across groups making it more cost effective for them.

We also hope to work with local groups to host demonstrations/workshops that teach our community to historical context how how people in the past lived.
